Hello
Welcome to my portfolio!
The purpose of this project is to learn and develop my skills in React and Next.js. I am working on sprucing up my portfolio and furthing my progress in software development.
My Projects
Language Suggester
A basic program language survey designed to practice branching with JavaScript. This language suggester gives the user five survey prompts. Based on their answers, the program returns a gif with a small statment telling them what computer language they are most likely to enjoy. Every possible combination is not coded, therefore if a combination is chosen that is not in the program, it prompts the user to try again.

My first portfolio
This is the very first program I've ever deployed. It was a portfolio project designed to test our fresh skills in HTML and CSS. Comparing it with the projects I'm working on now, it's amazing to see how far I've come in just a few months.

Technologies
During my time at Epicodus, I've worked on a number of techonlogies. I gained familiarity with Git, learned about databases and SQL, as well as gained fundamentals in JavaScript, C#, React, HMTL and CSS. To fast-track my learning, I was educated in full-stack development, and learned how to work with both front-end and back-end code. Prior to working software, I made a hobby of working with hardware, and putting together components to make functional PCs.

About Me
Hi there! My full name is Artur, but you can call me Art. I am a Polish-American who spent my life growing up between Europe and Oregon. After graduating from high school in the United States, I moved back to Poland to strengthen my skills in Polish. I used this time as a gap year before enrolling in college, my intent being to think more seriously about what I wanted to pursue as a career. I opted for a degree in psychology, and graduated from Oregon State University in 2016. Directly after obtaining my undergraduate degree, I took another gap year and moved to Madrid, Spain. I worked as an English teacher for kids, and taught myself Spanish through language-exchange. During my time away from Oregon, I thought about what master programs I wanted to attend in the future, but ultimately couldn't decide. I moved back to Oregon at the end of 2017 and managed a dental office while taking premed classes at the University of Oregon. After the pandemic hit, I connected with a good friend who works in cybersecurity. After much deliberation and talking with him, I decided to search for a coding school and change my career. That's when I discovered Epicodus, decided to enroll and start my pursuit as a software engineer!
